Bandipur Homestay Tour is an excellent opportunity to learn about the complexity and diversity of Nepalese culture, traditional as well as the country's natural beauties.

Bandipur Homestay Tour explores the hilltop settlement perched atop 1100-meter-high hills midway between Kathmandu and Pokhara. It is 143 kilometers west of the capital city of Kathmandu and just 80 kilometers east of the beautiful city of Pokhara. Bandipur tour will take you to the recognition of natural beauty as well as the warm hospitality of this culturally beautiful town's people for an authentic Nepalese homestay experience.

We start our tour with a drive from Kathmandu to Bandipur. The scenic drive takes you to the famous Prithivi Highway, which runs through spectacular landscapes. After about 4 hours, we reach the village of Bandipur. Bandipur village, located on the foothills of the Himalayas, also provides ravishing views of the Himalayas and several landscapes, including the Marsayangdi river valley.

We explore Bandipur Village in the afternoon. The mountain village of Bandipur is the perfect place to learn about the Newari and Gurung people. The rich cultural heritage and the unique community that populate Bandipur reflect the pristine aesthetic beauty of Nepal. The age-old cultural attributes that are still intact reflect the town’s key beauty. The temples, shrines, holy caves, and the intricate Newari architecture will leave you mesmerized. Later in the afternoon, we hike towards Bandipur's viewpoint, from which we see the adorable views of sunset and sunrise as well as the breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges.

The following morning, we enjoy the morning sunrise and view of the Himalaya and dig deeper into Bandipur. After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. On the way, we will visit Siddha Cave, or Siddha Gufa, which is the second-largest cave in Nepal and located in Bimalnagar, Tanahun district.

Best Time for the Bandipur Homestay Tour

Autumn is thought to be the best time to go on the Bandipur Homestay Tour. The weather could be unpredictable at the higher altitudes, but every season has its own beauty and uniqueness, and a Bandipur homestay tour can be done throughout the year. It would always be the best experience in the countryside.

Spring Season: March, April, and May

The weather is springlike, the forest is blooming with flowers, and the track is lined with green trees. Springtime starts in March and ends in May. The trekking trail will probably be crowded with a lot of trekkers at this time of the year, but it is the best time to enjoy the beautiful mountain views and landscapes.

Summer Season: June, July, and August

Summer in Nepal is different because it rains a lot and is also known as monsoon season. You just have to be prepared and plan your trek according to the season you are trekking. The hilly regions are moist and wet at this time of the year, so the trekking routes are likely to get muddy and slippery.

Since it rains a lot, there is less crowding when it's not raining, and the trails are pretty slippery. We will get the best view of the green landscape. The weather is quite harsh, as it is sunny during the day and can rain at any time.

Autumn Season: September, October, and November

Autumn is the best season for trekking in Nepal, including the Bandipur Homestay Tour. The weather is warm during the day and quite chilly in the mornings and evenings. In the higher altitudes, the temperature might drop below the freezing point. The best time to trek in Nepal is in the autumn, and the best months are October and November. The trek is busy and crowded, but the view is perfect (white mountains and blue sky) compared to the summer and spring seasons. During the autumn season, we will experience lots of interesting festivals with local families.
