About Breakfast on Mountain

Breakfast on the Mountain is a one-of-a-kind experience in the Himalayan foothills that allows you to discover the spectacular views of the Himalayas while wandering in natural habitats.

After an hour's pleasant drive from Kathmandu, we reach Nagarkot (2175). You get to see the most fascinating and mesmerizing view of the sunrise from the hill station, as well as an amazing 360-degree view of the Himalayan range. After breakfast, we start our day hike to Dhulikhel. Along the trail, you will be amazed to see the rural lifestyle. You will see the beautiful landscape and gain insights into the religious prospects in Nepal. You also get to bask in the splendors of cultural richness. We take private transportation back from Dhulikhel to Kathmandu. This is simply an unforgettable way to experience the beauty of real Nepal while overlooking a stunning natural landscape from an altitude of almost 2,200 meters and enjoying a delectable breakfast.

The Pikc Hotel

  • Early Pick up from the hotel (the pick-up time will be confirmed in advance by the operator).Please be at the hotel lobby 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
  • It takes about an hour to get to Nagarkot Hill Station.
  • Witness the breathtaking sunrise views as well as the Himalayan views.
  • Spend some time enjoying the breakfast and the surrounding views.
  • Explore the typical villages, and then start hiking to Dhulikhel after breakfast.
  • Then take a drive back to Kathmandu from Dhulikhel by private transportation.

Early in the morning, enjoy the sunrise and panoramic views of various mountains, including Mount Everest. After breakfast, trek down to Dhulikhel and drive back to Kathmandu.

Useful Information

We operate Breakfast on Mountain daily with your personal guide so that you don’t have to confront with other people who might have different interests or attitudes. To keep our tours private and comfortable we limit our groups with 10 people per guide. Please contact us if you have a bigger group and we will arrange several guides for you depending on group size.

Tour guide 

We have a team of highly experienced and professionally trained tour guides who are thoroughly versed in culture and history of each place of the places you will be visiting.

Transportation 

We use comfortable transportation for the transfers. For up to 2 people, car is provided and mini-van is for the group of 3-10 people.

Nagarkot Dhulikhel Day Hiking Tour duration

The total tour duration is about 6-7 hours. After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel and drive to the hike-start-point. It’s approximately 5 hours hike to reach Dhulikhel from Nagarkot.

Clothing for Breakfast on Mountain Tour

Clothing varies with the type of tour and season. It’s warm in Kathmandu from April to October-end and from November to March-end, days are usually warm but evening colder. Summer clothes are okay during the day time but the evening requires a light jackets. Winter is from December till February so bring along sufficient winter wears like jcketas, sweaters, trousers etc. During the Nagarkot to Dhulikhel Hiking, light clothes and good walking shoes are recommended. Meals 

Packed lunch can be arranged as per your preferred meals during the hiking program or we serve you a luncha upon we are reaching to Dhulikhel.
